Boardroom Vetting Projects

Wendeen Eolis Enterprises CEO, Wendeen Eolis is an experienced boardroom advisor, inside corporate boardrooms for more than five decades. In 1971 she was appointed as a special advisor to the Chairman of Caesars World, after completing two attorney search assignments for the newly constituted public company.

Since then, Wendeen and her team of consultants have served as Board Room or C-suite "special advisors" to corporate boards nationwide and overseas. They evaluate resume submissions for board seats (and candidate LinkedIn profiles),  do deep-dive vetting into materials that report on candidate expertise, experience, and leadership trajectory, and then provide oral reports to the Board nom-gov chair.

EOLIS's role as a vetting advisor in the C-Suite or Boardroom principally involves the review of individual credentials, expertise, experience, and meaningful leadership relationships. A representative sample of companies that have hired EOLIS or Wendeen Eolis for special C-Suite and boardroom advisory assignments are TransWorld Airlines, GAF Corporation, Citibank, AT&T, MGM, Columbia University, NYU Law School, and Microsoft

In 2010 the Company formally established EOLIS Boardroom Advisory Services. This practice was an outgrowth of the Company's earlier-known capabilities to vet lawyers and law firms for special counsel roles in the boardroom.  It was designed to grow Boardroom directorship searches, "preliminary searches" and vetting assignments for lawyers and non-legal executives and to add boardroom preparation to the menu of career transition services for top legal and executive talent.

As an advisor to CEOs, Board chairs, and nom/gov committees, EOLIS is accustomed to doing deep-dive research and development to produce a suitable candidate universe of talent. The Company is mindful of the need to match candidates to the client's stated criteria regarding credentials, expertise, and experience, and recognizes the need to recommend candidates that demonstrate adaptability to the "chemistry" of the particular board. EOLIS has been recognized, frequently, in mainstream and legal publications for its boardroom advisory services.
