A woman of many hats, Wendeen H. Eolis is a power poker player in business, politics, and card rooms.

Ms. Eolis uses people reading expertise acquired in the workplace and lessons from the poker tables in missions to improve life for others.

Dubbed "The Grand Dame of Poker" by WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack, Eolis is an internationally recognized poker personality and industry leader.

Ms. Eolis has been honored by the WSOP with a commemorative poker chip in her name and likeness for her achievement in its final event and by the World Poker Tour as the lone business executive with a coveted seat on its Ladies Night 2 televised special (2004). Ms. Eolis was also elected to membership of the Inaugural Professional Poker Tour (2004-2005); one of fifteen women worldwide to make the cut.

Ultimate Poker Goddess Evolves into Grand Dame of Poker

Since 1986,when Eolis became the first woman to cash in the final event of the World Series of Poker, she has been a pioneer for women in high stakes competitions on the international tournament trail. In the book "Playing with the Big Boys" (Van Vleet and Norris, 2002) Eolis earned the moniker of the "Ultimate Poker Goddess."

During the 2007 World Series of Poker, WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack wrote about Eolis as "The Grand Dame of Poker" (worldseriesofpoker.com).

In 2009, as a member of the WSOP Players Advisory Council Rules Committee, Ms. Eolis was credited with the establishment of a new rule to enhance protection for women from abuse, as well as increased civility at the tables.

Wendeen Eolis has been a featured player and spokesperson for the industry for nearly 25 years. She has been profiled in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, GQ Magazine, ESPN, Fox Sports, GSN, BBC Television, and A&E's Biography showcased her as a preeminent poker star.
