Birth of a world class Poker Player

Ms. Eolis' moonlighting poker career began in 1984 at the famous Mayfair club, an underground Manhattan card room where she cut her teeth first in Limit Hold'em games, turning to No Limit Hold'em in 1985 against the likes of Howard Lederer, Dan Harrington, and Erik Seidel. A year later (1986) she flew off to the World Series of Poker to compete in the Main Event. The rest is history.

Winner of broad stripes and blue ribbons

Ms. Eolis was the first woman to finish in the money at the World Series of Poker in 1986 and the first one to do it twice in 1993. She was the first woman to reach the final table of a major event, taking 6th place at the 1988 Binion's Hall of Fame Tournament.

She was the only woman to cash in the WSOP Seniors Event in 2003, took down another payday at the WSOP in 2004, scored a fifth prize-winning performance at the WSOP in 2006, outlasting 2471 players. She cashed again at the WSOP in 2007, bettering 91% of the 2315 starters, and, once again, in 2009 in the top 10% of the field.

On the World Poker Tour, Eolis was the only woman to cash in the WPT Bellagio Five Diamond Championship in 2003 and finished in the top 15% of the field at Foxwoods in the opening event of the WPT's Professional Poker Tour 2004-2005 season.

In addition, Eolis has earned her stripes, taking down blue ribbons at the European Open (1990) and a High Stakes Invitational (2000, Lake Tahoe), and was first place finisher in qualifying points in GSN's Poker Royale: Battle of the Ages (Pro Invitational, 2005).

Ms. Eolis was selected as a member of the elite Queens of Heart team at the 2006 World Series of Poker Ladies Championship Event; sponsored by a partnership of Elle Magazine, Party Poker, and the American Heart Association.
